Second 5 k March 13, 2010

Today I did my second 5k with my girls. It was so much fun. It was for St Patricks day so alot of people dressed in green. I have included a pic of a pug dog there that was so cute I had to include it. We had a great experience. The race went from the capital around memory grove and down to memory grove. It was so beautiful. The girls had great times at about 25 min. I bet my last time by 5 min so I am thrilled. It is so much fun doing this with my girls and sharing this experience. They came back and ran with me for the last little bit and I needed it. It almost made me cry because it was such a great site to see them. Bob took us out to a new bakery up by the U after to celebrate. All in all a great day!!!

My first 5K!!!

Well I did it. Today I did my first 5K. My goal was to do it and I did. I ended up running about one mile of it. There were about 30 people in the race and they were all in their twenties but it was so much fun. It was for Haiti and valentines. We were supposed to were red, pink and purple...thus the beautiful pink leg warmers my friend got me. I feel so good that I completed this goal. My great husband and son Jesse were there to cheer me on. The other kids felt bad but they all had commitments. I feel so happy. 2010 is my year to be healthy!!
